Rinse quinoa well under cold running water in a fine mesh strainer to remove the natural bitter soapy coating called saponin. Generally, once the soapy tiny bubbles are gone, you're good to go.
Placed well-rinsed quinoa with water and salt in a saucepan, cover and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low, keep covered, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Divide quinoa between two bowls. Top each bowl with half of the blueberries, pumpkin seeds and almonds. Serve with almond milk.
Notes
Don't have a fine mesh strainer? No problem. You can use a coffee filter, or even better, a small coffee filter basket. Living clean and water saving tip!Put a plug in a clean sink before rinsing the quinoa. Once finished rinsing, feed the water to the plants. They will love it!!
