Overnight Apple Bircher Muesli

Bircher Muesli is the original overnight oats.

Equipment

  • Medium glass mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • Large mixing spoon
  • 4 small bowls or 250 ml glass mason jars

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/3 cups Oats rolled
  • 1/2 cup Sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup Hemp hearts
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup Greek yogurt organic meadows is a great brand
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk Unsweetened, carrageenan free
  • 1 Apple medium, grated
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, almonds, flax seeds, hemp hearts, and cinnamon.
  • Stir in the almond milk, yogurt, and grated apple with lemon juice. Mix well. Cover and let soak in the fridge overnight.
  • Divide into bowls or jars in the morning, and enjoy!

Notes

Prep Ahead
The dry muesli mix can be scaled up and stored in a jar in your cupboard/fridge for up to 2 months.
Like it a little sweeter?
Serve a drizzle of maple syrup or honey.
Make it dairy-free?
Make with coconut yogurt instead of Greek yogurt.
Leftovers
Soaked muesli can be kept in an air-tight container or mason jar in the fridge for up to 4 days.
